Ψήκτρα: ἐργαλεῖον, δι' οὗ τοὺς ἵππους κνήθομεν. ἐν Ἐπιγράμμασι: καὶ πριστὸν ψήκτρης κνῆσμα σιδηρόδετον. καὶ αὖθις: καὶ ψήκτραν ἵππων ἐρυσίτριχα τήν τ' ἐπὶ νώτων μάστιγα, ῥοίζης μητέρα θαρσαλέην. καί, ψήκτραν ἄκιτιν ἀπέπτυσεν. ὅτι ὁ ψηκτὴρ καὶ δεῖνος λέγεται.
