Ψιθυρίζει: αἰτιατικῇ. ἠρέμα εἰς τὸ οὖς διαλέγεται. διαβάλλει. καί, Ἀφροδίτης ψιθύρου ἱερόν. πνέοντος ἀνέμου μαλακοῦ καὶ ἠρέμα διὰ τῶν φύλλων εἰσιόντος, ὥσπερ προσλαλεῖ τὰ δένδρα, ὅπερ ψιθυρίζειν λέγεται. καὶ Θεόκριτος: ἁδύ τι τὸ ψιθύρισμα, καὶ ἁ πίτυς, αἰπόλε, τήνα. καὶ Λόγος ψίθυρος, ὁ διάβολος. Σοφοκλῆς: τοιούσδε λόγους ψιθύρους πλάσσων.
