Πολύβιος: πάντων εὐδαιμονιζόντων τὸν Πόπλιον καὶ παρακαλούντων ἀναπαύεσθαι καὶ ῥᾳθυμεῖν, ἐπεὶ πέρας ἐπιτέθεικε τῷ πολέμῳ, μακαρίζειν αὐτοὺς ἔφη, ὅτι τοιαύτας ἔχουσι τὰς διαλήψεις.
