Ῥαψῳδός: ἡ Σφὶγξ ἡ ῥάπτουσα τὰς ᾠδάς. τὸ δὲ ὄνομα τοῦ ῥαψῳδοῦ καθ' Ὅμηρον, ἢ μεθ' Ὅμηρον ἦν ἄν. Σοφοκλῆς: πῶς οὐχ, ὅθ' ἡ ῥαψῳδὸς ἐνθάδ' ἦν κύων, ἠύδας τι τοῖσδ' ἀστοῖσιν ἐκλυτήριον; περὶ τῆς Σφιγγός φησι.
