Epicharmus (fr. 184 Kaibel).
Philoxenus (
phi 394) fr.588 Theodoridis reportedly said this was from
Γραικός [Latin
Graecus, "Greek" (
gamma 447)] and the G had been dropped.
Hesychius, on the other hand, says that
Ῥαικός means Hellene, and the Romans have added the G.
