The unglossed primary headword, though transmitted as
στυγερίς in several manuscripts, has been taken to be the feminine genitive singular of this epic/poetic adjective, presumably quoted from somewhere (e.g.
Homer,
Odyssey 3.310). Adler reports a similar entry in the Ambrosian Lexicon.
