Athenian, astronomer, philosopher, student of Sokrates, he taught in Herakleia. He was the first to write [about] the so-called five solids.[1] He flourished after the Peloponnesian Wars.[2]

Θεαίτητος, Ἀθηναῖος, ἀστρολόγος, φιλόσοφος, μαθητὴς Σωκράτους, ἐδίδαξεν ἐν Ἡρακλείᾳ. πρῶτος δὲ τὰ πέντε καλούμενα στερεὰ ἔγραψε. γέγονε δὲ μετὰ τὰ Πελοποννησιακά.
